Job Description

Position Summary:
The Laborer supports utility-scale solar farm construction projects. Laborers will assist with site preparation, material handling, and general construction tasks while working under the direction of supervisors and skilled trades.
Compensation:
This position is subject to Kentucky prevailing wage requirements. Hourly Rate Base (Cash Wage): $20.60
Fringe Benefits:
$9.39 (Paid as cash in lieu of benefits or applied toward company-sponsored benefits, as applicable)
Total Prevailing Wage Package:
$29.99
Overtime:
Any hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week (though it is not guaranteed) will be compensated at one and one-half (1.5) times your hourly base rate, in accordance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general labor duties on solar construction sites Assist with site prep, grading support, and cleanup Load, unload, and move materials (panels, racking, tools) Support installation crews with mounting systems and components Operate basic hand and power tools safely Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all safety procedures and site-specific requirements Work effectively as part of a crew in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Previous construction or outdoor labor experience preferred (not required) Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from job site Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines

Work Environment:
Outdoor construction environment (heat, cold, wind, rain, mud) Large-scale solar farm / laydown yard settings Early morning start times; overtime and weekends may be required Fast-paced, safety-focused jobsite with multiple crews and equipment in operation
Physical Demands:
Lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Work on uneven terrain and active construction sites Perform repetitive motions throughout shift
