ABOUT THE
ROLEAmrize , a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for General Laborer to support operations at the Shrewsbury Asphalt plant located in Shrewsbury, MA. The position is primarily responsible for maintaining the grounds and operating equipment to include sweeping, shoveling, and performing light maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating parts. The position will also perform pre and post-trip inspections on equipment, such as a rubber tire loader, forklift, man lift or bobcat prior to and after operation, and will operate such equipment in support of plant operations.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
⦁ Assist with a wide range of physical tasks including lifting, carrying, digging, loading, and unloading materials.⦁ Support Skilled Tradespeople⦁ Clean and Prepare Job Sites, Clear debris, sweep, and set up or dismantle work areas to maintain a safe and organized job site.⦁ Use shovels, drills, saws, and other tools under supervision to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.⦁ Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and report hazards or incidents promptly.⦁ Load and Unload Materials and Equipment⦁ Move and store construction materials, supplies, or machinery as directed by supervisors or foremen.⦁ Perform Other Duties as Assigned

 Daily Travel Required ⦁ Strong listening skills and the ability to carry out verbal or written directions accurately.⦁ Understanding and application of workplace safety rules and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).⦁
Teamwork and Communication Skills:
Ability to work well with others in a team setting, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate effectively.⦁
Reliable and Punctual Work Ethic:
Consistent attendance, dependable performance, and a willingness to work flexible hours or overtime.⦁
Basic Knowledge of Tools and Equipment:
Familiarity with hand and power tools; ability to safely operate and maintain them as needed.⦁ Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
