Laborer/ Truck Driver/ MEO at Town of Royalton Highway

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and versatile Laborer/Truck Driver/Mechanical Equipment Operator (MEO) to join our team at Town of Royalton Highway. This dynamic role combines hands-on construction labor, skilled operation of heavy equipment, and safe driving of various trucks to support our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring project efficiency by operating heavy machinery, transporting materials, and assisting with site preparation and maintenance. Duties Operate a variety of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks to perform site grading, excavation, material handling, and paving tasks. Safely drive dump trucks and other construction vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris between sites or storage areas. Assist with construction site setup by unloading materials, preparing work zones, and supporting groundwork activities. Plowing snow in the winter and to work overtime when needed. Chipping brush and run roadside mowing equipment. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, basic repairs, and ensuring proper operation of machinery. Support paving operations by preparing surfaces and assisting with asphalt placement as needed. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or similar machinery in a construction setting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving front loader trucks and dump trucks preferred. Knowledge of utility locating techniques and safety procedures on construction sites. Familiarity with Volvo/John Deere equipment or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and practices. Prior experience in paving or general construction work is a plus. Pay:

$25.29 - $33.00 per hour
