Job Description
Position Overview The Driver is responsible for transporting and delivery of cannabis products. This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and provides support throughout the delivery process. The ideal candidate is a safe driver with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. This role supports our distribution operations by ensuring timely, compliant deliveries in a fast-paced and highly regulated industry. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport cannabis products across New York State. Load and unload product, ensuring proper handling in compliance with state regulations and company policies. Adhere to delivery schedules and route plans while maintaining accurate delivery logs. Perform basic vehicle safety checks and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients and regulatory agents. Follow all safety protocols, especially those related to cannabis transportation and security. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with New York State cannabis transportation laws. Uphold compliance with state regulations and company policies related to cannabis processing and handling. Support other production tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Willingness to travel long distances and work independently across NY State. Experience with loading/unloading and route navigation required. Basic mechanical knowledge preferred, but not required. Excellent reliability, punctuality, and communication skills. Prior experience in cannabis, logistics, or delivery driving is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Experience working in a fast-paced production environment. Familiarity with cannabis products and an understanding of delivery driver processes (preferred but not required). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet company goals. Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as rolling, weighing, and packaging. Basic knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance (preferred but not required). Willingness to work in a regulated environment with strict adherence to compliance and safety protocols. Additional Information This position requires sitting and standing for long periods and handling cannabis materials. The role involves working in a regulated environment where compliance with state laws and safety protocols is critical. Drivers are expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times. Sit/stand/walk for 7-8 hours per day Ability to repeatedly attach and remove bolts and nuts Ability to use spray bottle and rags for cleaning Lift 30+ lbs of ice for chiller coils Lift/place/remove equipment up to 50 lbs Weigh/insert/remove product to a max of 15 lbs Carry up to 15 lbs over 40 ft, Material socks from packing room to lab Ability to lift 10 lbs to head height Step up and down step stool ladder, 50 times per day. Wheel / move on dolly up to 120 lbs butane tanks Ability to get into and rise up from kneeling position This position involves working in a regulated environment that requires adherence to state laws and compliance procedures. The role may involve sitting or standing for long periods and handling materials in various stages of the extraction process.
