Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Designer and unleash your creativity to craft inspiring outdoor environments! In this role, you will transform ideas into stunning, functional landscapes by combining your technical expertise with innovative design skills. You'll collaborate with clients, architects, and construction teams to develop comprehensive plans that balance aesthetic appeal with sustainability and practicality. Develop detailed landscape designs using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation to create accurate visualizations and technical drawings. Incorporate sustainable design principles and horticultural best practices to ensure environmentally responsible landscapes. Utilize GIS tools like ArcView and ArcGIS for site analysis, land surveying, and spatial planning to inform design decisions. Prepare construction documents, including grading plans, hardscape layouts, irrigation systems, and planting schemes. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to estimate costs, plan timelines, and oversee landscape construction phases. Conduct site visits for land surveying, landscape maintenance assessments, and quality control during project implementation. Coordinate with clients to understand their vision and translate it into comprehensive design proposals that meet their needs and budget. Proven experience in landscape design or related fields with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects. Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, MicroStation, ArcView or ArcGIS. Knowledge of horticulture practices, landscaping techniques, hardscape construction, irrigation systems, and land surveying methods. Familiarity with civil engineering principles related to site development and sustainable design strategies. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and team members. A degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
