Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep outdoor areas pristine. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, weeding, fertilizing, and installing landscape features. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for grading, digging trenches, or installing hardscape elements like patios and walkways. Conduct lawn care activities such as aeration, overseeding, and fertilization to promote healthy turf growth. Implement irrigation systems installation and maintenance to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns. Provide tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessments to maintain safety and aesthetics. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible. Support landscape design projects by installing plants, mulch beds, fencing, and other landscaping features in line with client specifications. Maintain equipment including sharpening blades, cleaning tools, and performing routine inspections for safety compliance. Experience Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture with a solid understanding of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening practices. Mechanical knowledge related to operating hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other landscaping machinery. Familiarity with hardscape construction such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, or similar installations. Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming and pruning for health and safety purposes. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience in irrigation system installation or maintenance is a plus.
