Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reading Blueprints:
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.- Setting up and operating press: Expertly and efficiently set up and operate presses to ensure quality and maximum production.
- Precision measuring: Proficiently use tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measure to confirm material specifications.
Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform routine mechanic maintenance.- Quality control: Perform inspections for material defects to ensure materials meet quality standards and specifications. Identify materials using tags or labels.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all established safety procedures and compliance guidelinesCollaboration:
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure delivery deadlines are met. Train and mentor Level I and II Set-Up Operators.Record Keeping:
Identify, capture and record work instructions required to ensure job operations are set up and run correctly and consistently. Ensure all data entered in company data collection system is accurate.- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Technical skills: Mastery of all types of setups. Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
- Attention to detail: Ability to conduct quality inspections and identify defects or inconsistencies.
Problem-solving:
Performing complex troubleshooting independently and addressing issues that arise during the pressing process.Communication:
Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.Time Management:
Efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines.
Safety Awareness:
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 2 plus years experience in metal fabrication or related work.

- The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
