Full Job Description Laser and Press Brake Machine Operator Position Level:

Beeler industries, an established manufacturer and supplier of tree nut process systems, is looking for a talented Laser and Press Brake machine operator. The Laser and Press Brake machine operator roles and responsibilities include: Must have the ability to read and interpret detailed project plans, CAD drawings, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform job tasks. Responsible for selecting proper sheet metal materials for jobs based on project instructions. Deburr required sharp corners on sheet metal when needed. Use pre-programmed laser codes to create proper metal cuts to the sheet metal in accordance with the project plans. Operate press brake to form sheet metal parts according to detailed prints in pre-determined order. Operate laser to cut parts out of sheet metal per detailed instructions while ensuring required parts fit the sheet correctly. Operate laser stacker for laser operations and for overnight laser cutting. Operate shear to cut sheet metal to make parts to be formed. Check inventory for sheet metal. Responsible for performing routine maintenance on the machine, which includes greasing and cleaning, while also checking and reporting leaks or malfunctions to supervisor. Operate forklifts to move pallets. This position is responsible for maintaining and following safety, best practices and policies, and quality control. Responsible for addressing any faulty components and/or mistakes in the process and addressing them with management to ensure issues are successfully corrected. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. Other physical requirements include walking, sitting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting.

Working Conditions:

An important part of this position is the ability to work overtime as required by the needs of the business. Works mostly indoors and some exposure to loud environments. Work schedule is

Mon-Thurs:

6:00 AM•4:30 PM;

Optional Fri:

6:00 AM•2:30 PM. Occasional Saturdays and/or Sundays as needed.

Pay Range:

$22•$28 per hour

Qualifications:

1-year laser and press brake experience High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
