Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Description Under general supervision, performs administrative and investigative work enforcing State and local codes. Is responsible for inspecting, investigating and prosecuting violations of the Town of Davie Code and other codes and/or ordinances applicable to property within the Town. Reports to Code Compliance Supervisor. Essential Functions Patrols the Town for signs of code violations; responds to referrals from Town Administration, or other departments as well as the public. Investigates complaints of code violations and initiates investigations of code violations observed; conducts follow up inspections where code violations have previously occurred. Maintains records and correspondence, including letters of violation and affidavits; performs research to prepare cases against violations. Delivers or coordinates delivery of violation notices; contacts and coordinates witnesses appearances. Implements established policies, directives and objectives of the department and the Town through code compliance procedures and techniques. Performs other related work as required. Hours of Work The tentative schedule for this position will be 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Saturday either 7:30 am-6:00pm or 8:00am-6:30pm.
