Salary:
$31,200 Annually Rabun Paws 4 Life, a No-Kill animal welfare organization responsible for Rabun County Animal Control operations, is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Animal Control Officer to serve our community and protect animal welfare. Responsibilities Respond to calls involving stray, injured, abused, neglected, or nuisance animals Safely capture and transport animals Investigate animal-related complaints and ordinance violations Coordinate animal cases with the Rabun County Marshal's Office Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and local animal ordinances Maintain accurate reports and records Assist with shelter operations as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 25 years of age due to vehicle insurance requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience with animal handling, veterinary care, animal control, or law enforcement preferred Ability to work independently, outdoors, and in physically demanding situations Strong communication and problem-solving skills Why Join Us?
