Job Description
Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Desk Administrator to join our team.
MUST BE ABLE AND COMFORTABLE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH CATS AND DOGS
Requires experience with basic veterinary knowledge and animal handling skills Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills are a must Professional, friendly, outgoing demeanor with staff, volunteers and visitors High level verbal and written communication skills High level of attention to detail Ability to manage and de-escalate emotionally charged situations Excellent problem solving skills, including ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment Must be resourceful, proactive, and flexible as a team player Ability to diplomatically advocate for animals Ability to learn animal shelter software Willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shift timesDuties:
- Facilitating all activities related to the front desk, as well as play a significant role in program support Serve as the initial contact for visitors at the Humane Society, in person, on the phone, and email with exceptional customer service skills.
- Daily cleaning of animal enclosures, sweeping, moping, dishes, laundry
- Direct animal care which may include, administering medications, feeding, grooming
- Animal Transport Experience 1 year related work experience in customer service in animal welfare or related field, animal care/handling experience, and comfortable working in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
