Compensation:

$15•16/hour, dependent on qualifications (DOQ) Kendall County is currently accepting applications for a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Kennel Technician to join our Animal Control Department. This position plays a key role in the daily care of animals and helps ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both animals and the public.

Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments and must possess strong customer service skills. Primary duties include (but are not limited to): Daily cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and animal areas; Feeding, watering, and providing general care for animals; Assisting with animal handling and restraint; Supporting medical care routines and animal health monitoring; Interacting professionally with the public and assisting with adoptions and animal intakes; and Performing tasks listed in thejob description.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A least six (6) months of prior computer experience is required. A minimum of one (1) year of prior animal handling experience. A minimum of one (1) year of prior animal medical experience. Valid and current driver's license is required. Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including live animals.

Work Schedule:

Part-time position, 28 hours per week. Must have the flexibility to work during normal business hours, outside of normal business hours, weekends and holidays. Rotating schedule. This position's office location is on-site at the Kendall County Animal Control Building in Yorkville, Illinois.

Benefits :
