Job Description

Enforce local state and federal laws and ordinances governing the harboring and treatment of animals. Capture and remove stray, abused, abandoned and injured animals from all environments within the city. Investigate reports of animal neglect and abuse, collecting and documenting evidence and writing detailed reports. Educate residents on responsible ownership and interact closely with other animal agencies, shelters, non-profit organizations dedicated to animal welfare.
Requirements:

E.D equivalent. o Diploma or official, sealed transcripts

C.O. through the Michigan Department of Agriculture or obtain A.C.O certification within 6 months of date of hire. o Registration
REQUIRED

  • Possession of a license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
  • Driving record must meet city's standards for insurability.
Pay rate:
$58,038/year - $72,457/year (After 5 years) Excellent benefit package includes health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation and sick time.
