The City of Arnold is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional individual to join our team as a Full-Time Code Enforcement Administrator. The Code Enforcement Administrator will work closely with the City's Code Enforcement Department and assist the Code Enforcement Officer with the daily administrative and operational needs of the department. This position will serve as an important point of contact for city residents regarding code enforcement concerns and complaints.
Duties:
Receiving, documenting, and organizing code enforcement complaints from city residents. Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and emails related to code enforcement. Communicating professionally and respectfully with residents, property owners, contractors, and other members of the public. Assisting the Code Enforcement Officer with daily tasks and administrative duties. Maintaining and organizing code enforcement files, records, correspondence, and documentation. Entering and maintaining information in department records and tracking systems. Preparing correspondence, notices, forms, and other department documents as directed. Scheduling inspections, meetings, and follow-up activities as needed. Tracking complaints and assisting with follow-up to ensure matters are properly documented. Assisting with the organization and maintenance of property and code enforcement records. Providing general administrative support to the Code Enforcement Department and City Hall as needed. Maintaining confidentiality of department records and sensitive information. Performing other duties as assigned by the City Manager or Code Enforcement Officer.
Skills:
Have strong organizational and communication skills. Be comfortable communicating with the public in person, by telephone, and through email. Have good computer skills and the ability to learn new software and record-keeping systems. Be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records. Be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently. Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and good judgment. Previous experience in municipal government, code enforcement, office administration, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of local government operations or code enforcement procedures is a plus.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
