Job Description
Role Descriptions & Responsibilities As a License Compliance Mediator, you will engage with customers and prospects to resolve software license compliance matters through professional communication and collaborative negotiation. This role serves as a bridge between customers, legal counsel, internal business teams, and sales channels to negotiate mutually beneficial resolutions when software licensing agreements have been breached. Some more of your key responsibilities include the following: Manage software licensing compliance and regularization cases involving unauthorized software usage. Work collaboratively with internal Legal, Business Operations, Finance, Sales, and external partners to resolve compliance matters. Serve as the primary point of contact during customer negotiations, facilitating productive and professional conversations. Mediate disputes and negotiate settlement terms that bring organizations into software license compliance. Coordinate with the existing sales channel, including channel partners and value-added resellers (VARs), to support software regularization efforts. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to legal and compliance cases. Draft professional written communications with a high degree of precision and attention to detail. Balance customer advocacy with company objectives while maintaining professionalism throughout difficult conversations. Ensure timely case progression and effective cross-functional collaboration Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred 3-5 years of professional experience in a customer-facing role involving negotiation, compliance, legal support, mediation, customer success, or a related field Demonstrated experience handling difficult conversations and resolving conflicts professionally Strong negotiation and mediation skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail, particularly when working with legal or contractual documentation Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with external stakeholders Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously #
