ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Conducts client intakes, screenings, and assessments. 2. Prepares and facilitates class for batterer's intervention group. 3. Writes service notes after each session. 4. Prepare and submit initial written reports related to client acceptance into the program in court, DHS, attorneys, and/or other referral agent, as needed. 5. Make an effort to contact and inform the victim about the aggressor's participation in the program and send the victim's questionnaire approved by the OAG. 6. Makes appropriate referrals to substance abuse, counseling, anger management, and more, as needed. 7. Keeps client records according to title 75 standards. 8. Collaborates with local domestic violence and sexual assault programs, in regards to victim safety.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Shall minimally have a graduate degree in a behavioral health or criminal justice related field and one-year related work experience, have a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health or criminal justice related field and two years related work experience, or have been employed as a facilitator in a certified batterers intervention program prior to July 1, 2008. Possess the BIP certification from OAG. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment. Knowledge of business procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community, employees and partner organizations. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Knowledge of the OKC Hispanic community, culture, & dynamics. Ability to build rapport. Ability to be self-directed and problem solve. Ability to complete documentation, and maintain up to date. Ability to work with others in a community setting. Must display proficiency in the MS Word processing software and intermediate general computer skills. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with English speaking consumers. Casual professional dress is required. Must possess and provide verification of valid Oklahoma driver's license during employment with LCDA. Must maintain and provide verification of current automobile liability insurance including uninsured motorist coverage. Must have and/or complete the TB test. Must possess and maintain current licensure. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, move within the facility freely, sit for extended periods and lift 30 pounds.
