Job Description
Job description The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office is seeking candidates for the position of Victim's Advocate. This is a full-time position. This position requires excellent writing and communication skills, the ability to work in a team‑focused environment, and the ability to manage a busy schedule. General Duties Processing criminal reports, identifying victims, and gathering pertinent information to determine appropriate services. Meeting with victims at times and places that best serve their interests. Working with the prosecutor, law enforcement officers, and the court to assist in trial preparation, scheduling, transportation of victims, witness meetings, education of victim rights, and other reasonable duties as assigned. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products is required. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Victim Advocate Coordinator and report directly to the County Prosecutor. This position will primarily work in municipal court.
