•1,200 per day Make a Difference for America's Veterans We are seeking a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Examiner to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans in the Phoenix area. This is a clinic-based, assessment-only position that allows physicians to apply their expertise without the demands of ongoing patient care. Providers perform one-time disability examinations, review medical records, and complete structured electronic reports that assist the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in determining disability benefits. There is no treatment, prescribing, or follow-up care required. Schedule & Workload Monday through Friday 8:00 AM
•5:00 PM Part-time (2 days per week) Approximately 3-4 Veteran evaluations per day No weekends No call No holidays Telehealth and travel opportunities may be available Responsibilities Perform one-time Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) disability evaluations for Veterans Review medical records and claim-related documentation prior to each examination Complete comprehensive neurological assessments following VA guidelines Document findings using a secure web-based examination platform Submit completed examination reports within required turnaround times Deliver compassionate, professional care throughout the evaluation process Qualifications Qualified candidates must possess: MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state Board Certification in Neurology, Neurological Surgery, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) OR Completion of a two-year residency in one of the specialties listed above Psychiatrists meeting residency or board certification requirements may also be considered, subject to Medical Director approval. Previous Compensation & Pension (C&P) or VA examination experience is preferred but not required.
