Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive DOT physical examinations in accordance with FMCSA regulations Evaluate drivers' medical history, medications, and overall health to determine fitness for duty Conduct required screenings including vision, hearing, blood pressure, and urinalysis Interpret and apply FMCSA medical standards to issue, deny, or limit medical certifications Accurately document exam findings and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations Provide education to drivers regarding medical conditions, follow-up requirements, and certification status Maintain active DOT Medical Examiner certification and stay current with regulatory updates Required Skills Master of Science degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree required Board certification is required Valid medical license in the State(s) of practice DOT certification or open to obtaining certification
