Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Corrections Officer and play a vital role in maintaining safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. This dynamic position involves supervising inmates, enforcing facility policies, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, inmates, and visitors. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help foster a secure correctional setting where rehabilitation and security go hand in hand. Duties Monitor inmate activity through CCTV surveillance and regular patrols to prevent disturbances or unauthorized activities Enforce facility rules and regulations consistently, ensuring compliance from all inmates and visitors Respond swiftly to emergencies using first aid, CPR, Taser deployment, or other emergency response techniques as needed Conduct thorough searches, manual handling, and conflict management to maintain a secure environment Write detailed incident reports and logs accurately documenting daily activities, incidents, or security breaches Manage inmate movement within the facility with professionalism and adherence to safety protocols Assist in training and supervising new staff or trainees in security procedures and emergency response readiness Requirements Proven experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security operations is highly desirable Knowledge of criminal justice policies and procedures applicable to correctional facilities Ability to operate CCTV systems effectively for surveillance purposes Strong report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy Certification or training in first aid, CPR, Taser use, manual handling, conflict management, and self-defense techniques Physical fitness for heavy lifting, long shifts on foot, and manual tasks required for security duties Demonstrated capability to respond calmly under pressure during emergencies or conflicts Join us if you're motivated by making a positive impact through maintaining safety and order.
