Your responsibilities will include supervising inmates, enforcing rules and regulations, and ensuring a safe environment for both staff and inmates. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding the law. The shifts are 12 hours 6:45pm-7:00am and 6:45am-7:00pm with a paid briefing before each shift. Four days on and four days off.
Must have the following:
Valid DL High School Diploma or GED Birth Certificate SSN Card Duties Monitor inmate activities to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations. Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including cells and common areas, to maintain security. Utilize CCTV systems to observe inmate behavior and report any suspicious activities. Respond promptly to emergencies, applying first aid and CPR when necessary. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns. Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations among inmates. Maintain professionalism at all times while interacting with inmates and staff. Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience or training in law enforcement, military service, or security roles. Familiarity with conflict management techniques is essential, along with proficiency in report writing. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Previous experience working in correctional facilities or related environments will be considered an asset. Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are critical for success in this role.Job Type:
