Summary:

Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision, care, custody, control, and physical restraint, when necessary, of inmates in a Correctional Institution or facility.

Requirements:

At a minimum, successful applicants must meet the following qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age due to hazardous occupation (no maximum age requirements) Be a United States Citizen Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent Possess a valid driver's license for required travel Employer conducts drug screening, fingerprinting and background investigation which includes felony convictions; misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement; misdemeanor conviction of domestic violence. Employer may have additional requirements Following steps required to becoming a Correctional Officer (to be considered all steps must be completed).
