$72,300.95Minimum Qualification:
High school diploma/GED, Georgia P.O.S.T. certification, and eighteen (18) months of experience required at the lower level CSM Correctional Officer 2 (PSP191) or position equivalent.Preferred Qualification:
A minimum of six months of experience participating in offender disciplinary activities within the Georgia Department of Corrections such as serving as an investigator or advocate in the offender disciplinary process. This preferred experience may be included in the eighteen months of full-time experience as a uniformed officer, necessary to meet the minimum qualifications or completion of at least an associate's degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or a directly related field.Note:
preference will be given to applicants whose full-time experience as a uniformed officer in a correctional setting was obtained with the Georgia Department of Corrections.Note:
