Job Description

Duties:
  • Maintain security and control within the correctional facility
  • Monitor inmate activities and behavior
  • Conduct searches for contraband items
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the facility
  • Respond to emergencies and disturbances
  • Conduct inmate counts and inspections
  • Escort inmates to various locations within the facility
  • Assist with inmate transportation
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Excellent observation and attention to detail
  • Physical fitness and stamina for standing, walking, and running for extended periods of time
  • Ability to handle potentially dangerous situations with tact and professionalism
