Responsibilities:

As a Correctional Officer , you will: Supervise and manage incarcerated individuals to ensure safety and order Monitor assigned areas for security risks, contraband, or unsafe activity Interact with diverse groups , including inmates, families, volunteers, and visitors Respond to and de-escalate incidents to maintain safety for staff and incarcerated individuals Maintain detailed records of daily activities and incidents Conduct inspections of cells, corridors, and facility areas to identify hazards Communicate with supervisors and follow established action plans

Qualifications:

Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional boundaries Experience in criminal justice or corrections is preferred but not required — full training is provided

Salary:

$51,168 annually
