Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Jail Officer, where you will play a vital role in maintaining safety, security, and order within the detention facility. Your energetic approach and commitment to professionalism will ensure a secure environment for staff, inmates, and visitors alike. As a Jail Officer, you will be responsible for supervising inmate activities, enforcing facility rules, and responding swiftly to incidents with confidence and clarity. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help uphold the integrity of our correctional operations while fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere. Duties Monitor inmate behavior through CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring compliance with facility regulations. Conduct regular patrols of the detention area to maintain security and identify potential issues early. Respond promptly to disturbances or emergencies using conflict management skills and first aid or CPR when necessary. Enforce rules by supervising inmate activities, including meal times, recreation, and work assignments. Write detailed incident reports and logs to document daily activities, security breaches, or unusual occurrences. Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or inmate transfers with professionalism and discretion. Manage access control by verifying identification of visitors, staff, and contractors while maintaining security protocols. Must be willing to work any shift, any day of the week. Experience Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security operations, or correctional facilities is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to handle conflict situations calmly and effectively using conflict management techniques. Knowledge of CCTV operation, report writing procedures, and emergency response protocols such as CPR and first aid. Strong communication skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately. Experience working in high-pressure environments where vigilance and quick decision-making are essential.
