As a Corrections Guard Therapeutic at CAHS Satellite Clinics, you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment while also contributing to a rehabilitative and supporting setting for individuals in our care. This unique position goes beyond traditional security work by combing safety, professionalism, and a therapeutic approach. You will help promote stability, encourage respectful interactions, and support individuals on their path toward growth. Six months of experience in a forensic, behavioral, correctional, or penal institution with responsibility for the security, custody, clinical care or rehabilitation of offenders.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted. Job Duties:
Monitor staff assignment schedules to ensure all outreach and clinic appointments are adequately covered with appropriate personnel. Maintain safety and security at all satellite clinic locations through regular onsite safety checks and adherence to established protocols. Ensure assigned state vehicles are properly maintained and that all required maintenance records are accurate and up to date. Conduct client appointment reminder calls and assist with scheduling and rescheduling as needed. Observe, recognize, and appropriately respond to client behavior. Take and record vital signs and assist with screening protocols as required. Utilize approved Crisis Prevention and Support Intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies to manage disturbed or aggressive behavior.

The employee will be required to travel regularly to CAHS Satellite Clinics across the agency's seven parish service area.

Friday Compensation:
The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and NOT the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
