Job Description
Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office is accepting applications and hiring Corrections Facility guards at the male and female facilities. As a Correction Guard you will be essential in maintaining safety and security within the correctional facilities. Reporting to the facility supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include managing offender behavior, preventing conflicts, and ensuring compliance with regulations while performing routine duties in accordance with established policies and procedures to maintain order and provide for the safety, security, care, and direct supervision of those in your care during all phases of activity in the facility. 12 hour shifts (6 to 6) Salary will be based upon experience and qualifications. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
