The Boone County Sheriff's office is accepting applications for a Communications Dispatcher/Corrections Officer. Communication Officers are responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency law enforcement, fire and medical calls. It is a multi-tasking position that includes the operation of a computer and communication equipment.

Requirements:

Applicants must be 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be of good moral character, and be able to pass a thorough background investigation as well as have a valid driver's license. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, speak, read, write and comprehend, and be eligible to work in the United States. Applicants must be willing to work all shifts working 40 hours a week including working every other weekend, with some holidays.
