As a Correctional Officer, you will work a rotating 12-hour schedule: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off In this role, you will help maintain a safe and secure correctional environment by supervising inmates, enforcing institutional policies, and responding professionally to a variety of situations. Key Responsibilities Maintain safety, security, and order throughout the facility Supervise inmate activities, work assignments, and recreation Conduct inmate counts and security checks Search inmates, living quarters, visitors, and common areas for contraband Monitor gates, cell doors, and inmate movement Maintain accountability for keys, radios, tools, restraints, and security equipment Respond to emergencies including fights, behavioral incidents, and medical situations Assist with specialty assignments that support institutional operations and security Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license required Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Must be a U.S. citizen or provide proof of permanent U.S. residency Must successfully complete an online Correctional Officer suitability assessment Must pass a background investigation and drug screening Candidates should demonstrate integrity, professionalism, confidence, motivation, and sound judgment Apply Today Start building a rewarding career in Public Safety with a team committed to professional growth, service, and community impact.
