EDUCATION
Must possess a secondary (i.e., high school) school diploma, or its equivalent (GED), and must have college units in child development or related field from a regionally accredited post secondary institution of higher education (preferred).EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years experience as a District Children's Services Assistant, or the equivalent, or other experience working with preschool or school aged children is required.SPECIAL LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Immunization records of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles
- The ability to read, write and speak another language, in addition to English, such as Armenian or Spanish, is highly desirable.

The attachments required for this position are: 1) Immunization records of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles (Applicants may try to access their records through the state at: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/) 2) Proof of education: > Candidates who upload proof of awarded high school diploma or GED shall be invited to a written examination. > Candidates who upload proof of high school diploma orGED + 48
semester units from an accredited college will not need to take an exam. > Candidates who upload their awarded Associates Degree or higher will not need to take an exam. 3) Resume- Current PUSD employees may: Submit a "short application" on Edjoin.com; Only provide documents needed to meet minimum qualifications; Submit a transfer request to HR for positions in the same classification.
- Letters of recommendation, resumes, and letters of introduction are not required for internal applicants but are strongly recommended.
- Employees meeting minimum qualifications shall be interviewed.
DEGREE VERIFICATION
Transcripts and degrees received outside the United States must be supplemented by a complete evaluation report from a regionally accredited foreign degrees review agency.
