Summary of Job Classification:
Provides professional verbatim reporting and transcribing for court proceedings, hearings and conferences. Employees in this classification have not obtained their Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certification through the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA).ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential functions listed below satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Frequency and percentage of time may vary based on assignment. Produces an accurate rendering of the verbatim court record utilizing stenographic reporting and transcription of court proceedings. Reviews, formats, and proofreads transcripts and provides real time translation for judges. Maintains file(s) and records/logs of notes and uses notes to fulfill transcripts requests. Prepares cost estimates for transcript requests. Bills and invoices for transcript's costs and maintains an accurate log of all transcript requests. Prepares required reports and documentation pursuant to Chief Justice Directive 05-03 and local policies and procedures. Communicates with court staff regarding court proceedings and communicates with attorneys and clients who are ordering transcripts of said proceedings. Maintains reporting equipment. Troubleshoots and/or obtains technical support to resolve equipment related issues as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONT.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
