NO PRIOR COURT EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
We offer full hands-on training and will teach you our complete court resurfacing and restoration process. Our team specializes in restoring and refinishing existing tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts. This position is a great opportunity to learn a specialized trade with paid training, serving projects across Sarasota, Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, Glades, and DeSoto counties . A background in general labor, pressure washing, painting, concrete finishing, landscaping, or construction is helpful, but strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are what matter most. Duties & Responsibilities Depending on the specific project, daily work includes: Performing initial court evaluations and site assessments by capturing clear photos and videos of all courts and surface conditions Measuring the exact length and width of all surface cracks using a wheel line measurer Taking precise overall court measurements and documenting site details Transmitting field media, measurements, and surface notes back to management for remote pricing and project planning Cleaning and preparing existing court surfaces (scraping, pressure washing, power blowing) Inspecting courts for surface deterioration, cracking, drainage problems, and prep needs Removing damaged or failing court surface material Repairing cracks, surface imperfections, and low spots based on project specifications Mixing acrylic resurfacing agents, coatings, and silica aggregates per strict specs Spreading and squeegee-applying acrylic coatings evenly across the surface Precision painting and line striping for tennis, basketball, and pickleball layouts Converting standard tennis courts into multi-use or pickleball courts Safely operating surface prep equipment and handling specialized court materials Communicating professionally with property managers, HOA representatives, and clients on-site Working efficiently as a cohesive team player Field Assessments & Court Quotes As you build experience with us, you may assist with preliminary field assessments for upcoming project quotes. When Second Serve Courts is invited to evaluate a property, you will gather site data (measuring courts, taking detailed photos/videos, documenting damage, taking notes) and send it back to management. You will not be responsible for pricing or proposals. Pay & Hourly Rate $20.00 - $24.00 per hour to start, depending on background, skills, and overall reliability. Opportunity for wage growth as you master specialized tasks. Daily project shifts typically range from 6 to 10 hours. For job sites beyond 45 minutes travel, a $20 - $35 daily travel stipend (or carpool option) is provided to cover gas and vehicle travel. Flexible Project-Based Schedule This is an on-call, project-based role with a flexible schedule. We coordinate project crews through a private WhatsApp group . For each upcoming project, we share: Specific site location Expected work dates and hours Project scope and pay details Crew members reply with their availability, and we assemble the project team. Hours vary based on project volume. You choose which projects fit your schedule, but once committed, punctuality and full attendance are expected.
