Job Description This position performs clerical assignments in a Parole/Probation Office where production typing, organizing files, operating computer equipment, and statistical data is a substantial part of the work. In addition, transcribing reports from mechanical dictating equipment and perform receptionist duties as needed. This position must be occupied by a self-motivated individual who can work independently and maintain effective office procedures as it pertains to the clients and general public. Experience Word Processing Assistant 5 No specific type or amount is required. Word Processing Assistant 6 One year of administrative support experience where use of a personal computer to prepare correspondence, reports, charts, etc., or to enter/retrieve/update information is an essential part of the work. Word Processing Assistant E7 Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to a 6-level administrative support classification, where use of a personal computer to prepare correspondence, reports, charts, etc., or to enter/retrieve/update information is an essential part of the work.
