Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience in school settings or with youth preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to foster a positive learning environment Compassion, patience, and reliability
Responsibilities:
Serve as a dedicated 1:1 support for a high school student, interpreting between ASL and spoken English during classes and school activities Collaborate with educators and the students support team to understand educational goals and communication needs Assist with academic tasks and classroom participation, ensuring accessibility and inclusion Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards at all times Monitor student progress and communicate observations as needed Embrace a role that fosters your professional development while positively impacting students' lives.
