A Crime Scene or Forensic Science Technician collects and analyzes physical evidence from crime scenes. Carefully documents a crime scene and catalogues evidence collected. Conducts laboratory analysis of evidence gathered, uses computer databases to identify evidence, and uses findings to reconstruct crime scenes.

Olive Avenue, WPB 35986 Professional work in the preparation, development, review, and evaluation of criminal justice policies. Gathers and analyzes crime reports, arrest records, and other law enforcement data to identify trends, patterns, and hotspots. Prepares tactical, strategic, and administrative reports, bulletins, and charts for criminal justice agencies. Serves as a liaison between agencies and coordinates responses. Uses Geographic Information System (GIS) to create crime maps and visualizations. Designs and implements crime prevention programs based on data-driven insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following: A Master's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Statistics, Research Methodology, or Criminology; minimum of two (2) years of experience in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, or local levels, OR A Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Statistics, Research Methodology, or Criminology; minimum of four (4) years of experience in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, or local levels, OR An unrelated Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Statistics, Research Methodology, or Criminology; minimum of six (6) years of experience in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, or local levels, OR An unrelated Associate's Degree; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, or local levels, OR Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the criminal justice system at the federal, state, or local levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include (must specify on application): Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, Experience researching and evaluating projects, Experience working within a criminal justice setting, Demonstrated ability to present complex data in clear, actionable formats, Experience in grant writing, Experience conducting presentations, and Experience administering contracts or programs.
