$20.59- $24.40 Charleston County Sheriff's Office is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Law Enforcement Records Specialist II to play a vital role in our criminal justice system. This isn't just data entry
- it's the critical link ensuring accurate information flows seamlessly between courts, agencies, and corrections.
Duties and Responsibilities What You'll Do:
Manage sensitive inmate tracking data with precision. Facilitate essential communication with judicial partners. Ensure timely and accurate updates to key systems likeJMS & RMS/NCIC.

If you're driven by a commitment to justice and possess exceptional organizational skills, we want to hear from you! Standard work hours are Monday- Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM
- 7:00 PM and 6:00 am
- 6:00 PM on weekends and holidays as determined by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Obtains and maintains NCIC certification within six (6) months of assignment.
- Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable).
- Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement).
- No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers.
- No student loans in default status.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- The Nelson-Denny Reading Test, a two-phase background investigation, a credit check, a psychological examination/evaluation, a polygraph examination, an oral interview, and upon an offer of employment, a pre-employment physical examination will be required.
- Must be able to assist disaster response teams in the event of a natural disaster as necessary.
- Must possess a valid SC Driver's license or ability to obtain one prior to hire and meet the requirements of the County's motor vehicle policy.
