Full Job Description Pay Range:

$18.32

•$22.90/hr.

Workdays & Hours:

Shift hours vary: 7:00AM

•3:00PM, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, 11:00PM

•7:00AM This position will be required to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays. Also work in inclement weather as needed. This is a 24-hour 7 day a week operation including weekends and holidays.

Shift Differential Pay :

A Data Reporting Technician job is available with the City of Fort Worth Police Department

•Police Data Reporting Unit. This position will primary be responsible for performing a wide variety of general customer services in support of the Police Department to include responding to questions and inquiries from the general public regarding program operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years of directly related clerical or data reporting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish). Two (2) years plus of high

•volume call center, public contact, and data entry. Experience in preparing / transcribing reports. Knowledge of Records Enterprise or other Police Records Management Systems, CAD systems and Texas Penal Code. Prior law enforcement experience. The Data Reporting Technician job responsibilities include: Conduct a high volume of telephone calls to citizens who have been victims of a criminal offense in order to document the specific offense or incident.

Record detailed information including:

type of offense, time of call, name of caller, service number of the report, and other pertinent information. Determining elements of the crime as defined by the Texas Penal Code for use in a court of law. Maintaining and updating complex computer systems; processes forms, reports and preparing general correspondence: research computer generated files and records. Responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner and efficient manner; resolving problems within area of assignment; explains applicable policies and procedures. Maintaining detailed and accurate files and records of police offense reports and correspondence. Working Conditions and Physical Demand Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class. !
