per month. The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one, Permanent, Full-time Investigator position within the Enforcement Division. This position is to be located in the Sacramento office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days. Under the direction of the Supervising Special Investigator I and Deputy Commissioner, the Investigator is responsible for peace officer duties and responsibilities under the Department's (DFPI) jurisdiction. The Investigator conducts complex investigations into violations under the DFPI's authority and prepares documentation detailing findings for the department to take appropriate action. The Investigator will prepare and execute search warrants and legal documents. The Investigator will locate and conduct interviews with witnesses and suspects, make physical arrests for criminal offenses, conduct undercover and surveillance operations, and coordinate with other agencies for joint operations. They will assist department counsel with referrals to other agencies, act as investigative support to counsel, and appear and testify as a witness in trials and proceedings.
