Full Job Description Overview:
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office is accepting applications for the position of Investigator. This position is responsible for providing investigative support related to the investigation and prosecution of cases for attorneys and support staff in the office.
Responsibilities:
  • Locating and communicating with witnesses and victims, including conducting interviews.
Serving subpoenas. Transporting victims and witnesses. Retrieval of evidence from appropriate sources. Interacting professionally with and responding timely to attorney and staff requests. Supporting attorneys in preparation for and at trial. Successfully managing a robust investigative caseload. Working independently and as part of a team. Communicating effectively in verbal and written communications. Firearms proficiency preferred. Perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a minimum of high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • At least three years previous experience in law enforcement/investigation is required, preferably with criminal cases
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and data
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation
  • Knowledge of criminal investigation techniques and procedures
  • Experience with the use and function of police, court, and Windows operating systems is preferred.
