Police Information Technology Technician Location:

Bethlehem, PA Keep Our Officers Connected. Keep Technology Secure. The Bethlehem Police Department is hiring a Police IT Technician to maintain and secure the technology that powers law enforcement. In this key unsworn role, you'll ensure officers and staff have reliable access to computers, mobile devices, body-worn cameras, and law enforcement software.

What You'll Do:

Provide hands-on IT support for desktops, laptops, radios, and body-worn cameras. Install, configure, and troubleshoot software, operating systems, and specialized law enforcement tools like RMS and CAD. Maintain secure access to criminal justice databases and monitor networks for performance and security. Respond to IT issues, system failures, and cybersecurity incidents. Train officers and staff on new technologies and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Associates + experience considered). IT certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Cisco). Experience with law enforcement or high-security IT environments a plus. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, including during critical incidents.
