PART-TIME POSITION FOR 2 HOURS A DAY. JOB SUMMARY FOR LUNCH DUTY
Works under the supervision Principal and assists in the daily supervision of students.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LUNCH DUTY AIDE
Supervises students when the teacher is not present.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE FOR LUNCH DUTY AIDE
: High school diploma or equivalent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LUNCH DUTY AIDE
(other related duties may be assigned) Monitors student behavior by circulating and interacting with students during meals Guiding groups of students to/from lunchroom and classroom and/or play area. Guiding student's toward appropriate behavior while in lunch line Assisting younger children in getting lunch trays, milk and condiments Helping children in opening lunch items Monitoring student behavior and providing appropriate discipline as necessary within guidelines of school rules Assisting students in cleaning up after themselves (spills, wiping tables, disposing of trash, etc) Helping to wash tables, pick up floor trash between lunch sessions and after lunch period. Working with kitchen, custodial and instructional staff to implement ways to make the lunchtime run more smoothly and efficiently Other duties as assigned assist the staff of the school in getting adequate lunch breaks while providing appropriate school supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR LIBRARY AIDE
While performing the duties of this job, the library aide will be regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
