Recess Aide and Crossing Guard:
Job Summary Lunch Aide/Recess Aide:
Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals Maintain regular attendance Perform other duties as assigned. Circulates among the tables during the mealtime so as to be available to children who need help or resolve problems that arise. Supervise students and maintain a cooperative atmosphere during recess Circulate among students and attempt to resolve minor problems as they arise. Inform building administration immediately of any serous disciplinary problems. Early Morning Aide and Crossing Guard Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary. Guide or control vehicular or pedestrian traffic at such places as street. Monitor traffic flow to locate safe gaps through which pedestrians can cross streets.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
