Yard Duty/After School Aide Achieve Charter School Chico, CA Job Details Part-time From $17.57 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification First Aid Certification Working with students Emergency care First aid and CPR Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Yard Duty/After School Aide to support the safe and engaging supervision of students during & after school hours. In this vital role, you will ensure a secure environment, promote positive behavior, and assist with student needs while adhering to school policies and safety regulations. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help create a welcoming space where students feel supported and supervised effectively. Duties Supervise students during outdoor recess, lunch breaks, and after school activities to ensure safety and positive behavior. Help students with homework assignments. Lead arts, crafts, sports, and educational games. Enforce school policies, rules, and procedures consistently. Communicate regularly with parents fostering positive relationships. Administer basic first aid and CPR in case of injuries or emergencies, following safety regulations. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; experience with special education or working with students with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Ability to handle conflict calmly and manage student behavior positively while supporting individual needs. Physical ability to stand, walk, and supervise outdoor activities for extended periods.
