In this vital role, you will ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students, helping to manage behavior, assist with meal routines, and promote social interaction. Your presence will foster an atmosphere that encourages student well-being and compliance with school policies. This position requiring strong communication skills, patience, reliability, and the ability to work effectively with children. Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring safety and proper conduct throughout meal times. Manage student behavior through positive reinforcement and conflict resolution techniques, maintaining a calm and respectful environment. Support classroom teachers by monitoring student activities during midday recess or breaks. Implement evacuation procedures and safety protocols in case of emergencies or drills. Communicate effectively with students and staff regarding student needs or concerns. Uphold school policies related to student safety, transportation safety for early childhood education, and behavior expectations. Skills Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, staff, and Administrators. Knowledge of first aid procedures and the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations. Experience working with children, especially in childcare or educational settings. Familiarity with special education practices and supporting students with diverse needs. Ability to manage conflicts constructively and de-escalate tense situations. Knowledge of evacuation procedures, school policy compliance, and transportation safety standards.
