DESCRIPTION

Serve as

Primary Open Choice Program Liaison :

Act as the dedicated point-of-person and advocate for New Haven students enrolled in the Open Choice program; oversee daily morning/afternoon bus arrivals, coordinate late transportation logistics with ACES/Dattco, and assist students with academic or transition needs. Deliver MTSS Tier 2

Academic Interventions :

Facilitate Supported Study Halls and Flex blocks to guide students with assignment completion, study skills, assessment preparation, and teacher communication.

Monitor & Log Academic Progress :

Perform regular grade checks via PowerSchool, maintain detailed daily tracking logs on student performance and behavior, and share data with counselors, administrators, and families during at-risk meetings.

Manage Athletic Eligibility & Documentation :

Cross-reference grade reports against sports rosters at quarterly checkpoints to determine eligibility, generate and distribute official athlete notification letters, and direct appeal requests to the Athletic Director.

Supervise After-School Athletic Study Hall :

Facilitate a structured, quiet study environment Monday through Thursday, maintain rigorous attendance logs, enforce school conduct and phone policies, and report attendance compliance to athletic administration.
