Job Description

Brevard County is an EEO and Veterans' Preference employer. Part Time Continuous Recruitment - Applications will be active for 3 months. To be considered for this position after 3 months, Applicant must reactivate their application. $12.13 hourly. North Area/Mims/Titusville. Part-time/2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days. Responsible for the safe and orderly crossing of school-age children at assigned location.
REQUIREMENTS
No formal training or experience is required. Experience as a crossing guard or other work with elementary school-age children is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be of good moral character as determined by a background investigation. Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards prior to assuming School Crossing Guard duties. Must have, in good working order, a telephone at residence or a personal cell phone. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
