Job Description

BEGINNING SALARY
Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 16 $15.95 per hour
GROUP LEADER I - BREVARD AFTER SCHOOL
EDUCATION
AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
• Must be eighteen years of age at time of employment. • Experience working with children.
PREFERRED/DESIRED
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
REQUIRED:
• Department of Children and Families Standards for Quality Afterschool Programs (SQAP-8 hours online as Inservice) or equivalent
DCF-AMAP
Course Achieving and Maintaining Quality Afterschool Programs-12 hours or complete within 90 days of appointment. • American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtain certification within 90 days of appointment. •
BAS Academy:
Level I (24 hours online) for the School Age Certification obtain training by starting within 90 days of appointment with completion within one year of appointment. • Valid State Driver’s License.
GROUP LEADER II - BREVARD AFTER SCHOOL
EDUCATION
AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or equivalent. • Two (2) years’ experience working with children.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
REQUIRED:
• Department of Children and Families Standards for Quality Afterschool Programs (SQAP-8 hours online as Inservice) or equivalent
DCF-AMAP
Course Achieving and Maintaining Quality Afterschool Programs-12 hours. •
BAS Academy:
Level I and II (48 hours online) of the School Age Certification. • Ameri
