Job Description The Lunchroom & Aftercare Attendant is responsible for supervising students during lunch periods and our after-school program. This position requires someone who enjoys working with children, maintains a positive attitude, ensures student safety, and promotes respectful behavior in accordance with school policies. Essential Responsibilities Lunchroom Duties Supervise students during lunch periods to ensure a safe and orderly environment. Assist younger students as needed. Monitor student movement to and from the cafeteria. Help maintain cleanliness by ensuring tables, floors, and eating areas are cleaned after each lunch period. Communicate student concerns or disciplinary issues to administration. Aftercare Duties Supervise students during the after-school program. Provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment. Organize and monitor age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. Assist students with homework when needed. Ensure students are released only to authorized individuals. Maintain accurate attendance and sign-in/sign-out records. Follow all emergency procedures and school safety protocols. Communicate professionally with parents and school staff. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children is preferred. Ability to supervise groups of students while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
