Alsip, Hazelgreen & Oak Lawn School District 126 Lunch and recess supervisors keep students safe, organized, and supported during non-instructional break times. This position is for 1 hour daily Monday- Friday when school is in session.
Qualifications:
Dependable and mature individual Ability to manage and interact positively with elementary-aged children Awareness of safety protocols in a school environmentPhysical Requirements:
The job may require the ability to push/pull objects, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl The job requires standing and walking often for long periods of time Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions The employee should have the physical capabilities to perform all job functionsResponsibilities:
Monitor students in the cafeteria / classroom / playground to ensure a calm environment Ensure lunch environment is clean and safe Escort students safely between classrooms, the cafeteria, and the playground Resolve conflicts among students Respond to injuries and report major incidents to the principal or health aide Actively patrol indoor / outdoor play spaces Prevent dangerous activities and make sure playground and classroom rules are followed Assist in resolving conflicts among students Address any potential issues promptly to maintain student safety Respond to injuries and report major incidents to the principal or health aide Communicate repeated behavioral problems or safety hazards to school administrationTypical Working Conditions:
Indoor and Outdoor Environments:
Supervision will take place both inside in the lunch room and outside on the playgroundNoise Level:
